Huawei has introduced the FreeBuds 7 wireless earbuds at its HarmonyOS 7 and Mate XT 2 launch event.
Priced at 999 yuan (around $140), the new earbuds focus heavily on noise cancellation.
The FreeBuds 7 are powered by Huawei's third-generation self-developed audio AI chip.
According to Huawei, the chip delivers 100% more computing power than its predecessor.
It can sample surrounding noise up to 400,000 times per second with a latency of just 8 microseconds.
Huawei claims this results in an average noise reduction depth 230% better than the previous generation.
The noise reduction bandwidth is also 275% wider.
For calls, the earbuds support 100dB two-way silent calls.
The FreeBuds 7 feature a semi-in-ear design, unlike traditional in-ear models.
Each earbud weighs just 4.3 grams, and Huawei has moved the center of gravity inward by 17%.
The redesigned charging case is 25% smaller and 17% lighter than the previous model.
A new AI perception noise reduction algorithm works in the background.
It checks surroundings, ear shape, and earbud fit more than 10,000 times per second.
Huawei says the algorithm's convergence speed is 750% faster than before.
