Nubia has confirmed that its upcoming NaviX Ultra will launch on September 16 at 2:00 PM local time in China.
The device is being touted as the world's first AI-agent phone, developed jointly with ByteDance.
Reservations for the smartphone are now open, and the company has revealed several hardware details ahead of the official unveiling.
AI-Powered Doubao Assistant
The NaviX Ultra will feature the Doubao Phone Assistant, designed around four core areas: understanding commands, completing tasks, remembering information, and security.
This assistant is intended to handle tasks across applications rather than simply responding to voice commands, marking a shift toward more integrated AI functionality.
Hardware and Specifications
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies.
The memory supports a data rate of up to 10,667Mbps, which the memory maker claims is the first mass-produced domestic LPDDR5X solution at this speed.
The device is expected to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
A substantial 7,100mAh battery is included, supporting 90W or 100W wired charging and wireless charging.
For photography, the rear camera setup is rumored to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera, while the front camera may also use a 50-megapixel sensor.
Design-wise, the NaviX Ultra features a distinctive horizontal camera module across the rear and a dedicated orange AI key on the side for quick access to AI features.
The phone is expected to come in multiple color options, including blue, black, and white variants.
Earlier reports suggest that the broader AI experience is moving towards app-provided MCP services instead of relying entirely on screen reading and simulated taps.
