Andy Williams, a professional wrestler known as "The Butcher" in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has died. He was 48.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his death on Friday night.
Williams suffered a medical emergency during a tag team match at Mr. Small's Theater in Millvale, Pennsylvania.
Williams and his tag team partner, The Blade, were competing against TME at an Enjoy Wrestling event. The show was promptly canceled.
Collapsed After Match
A representative for Enjoy Wrestling posted on X that Andy collapsed at the end of his match.
Doctors rushed to give him CPR before an ambulance took him to the hospital.
The representative said everyone was sent home and thanked those who assisted Andy.
Williams was a longtime tag team partner of The Blade in AEW. He also played rhythm guitar in the heavy metal band Every Time I Die.
