A new docuseries about O. J.
Simpson's controversial prank show reveals that tensions ran high behind the scenes.
Investigation Discovery is set to premiere "O. J.
Unseen: Exploitation of Evil" this week, chronicling the making of "Juiced," a pay-per-view prank program from 2006.
In the show, Simpson pretended to sell a white Bronco, dressed as an Elvis impersonator, and staged an affair with a man's girlfriend.
However, one skit went awry, leading to real anger from Simpson.
Producer Recalls Tense Moment
Todd Lewis, the director and producer of "Juiced," appears in the docuseries and recounts an argument with Simpson.
In a teaser, Simpson calls Lewis racist, a remark Lewis says went too far and deeply upset him.
Lewis admits he feared provoking Simpson, but eventually they clashed.
He recalls looking into Simpson's eyes and seeing genuine anger, unsure what might happen next.
"Juiced" was released in 2006, and Simpson was arrested the following year on armed robbery and kidnapping charges.
"O. J.
Unseen: Exploitation of Evil" premieres Monday, September 7, on ID and streams the next day on HBO Max.
