A GoFundMe campaign for the parents of Lindsay Clancy has surpassed $1 million, coinciding with the mistrial declared in her murder trial.
As of Saturday, the Musgrove Family Fund had collected $1,167,727 from 34,400 donations, aiming for a $3 million goal.
Organizer Brandee Mulligan stated the funds are meant to ease the financial burden on Mike and Paula Musgrove, who have supported Lindsay throughout her legal proceedings.
Mulligan confirmed the fundraiser was created with the Musgroves' knowledge and consent, and that Lindsay's attorney, Kevin Reddington, is aware of it.
The campaign highlights that the Musgroves have spent over three years traveling to court, covering lodging and living expenses, and relocating from Connecticut to Massachusetts to stay close to Lindsay.
The GoFundMe explicitly states that donors are not being asked to take a stance on Lindsay's case, and the money will not be used for her legal defense.
Mistrial Declared After Jury Deadlock
A judge declared a mistrial on Friday after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict following roughly 38 hours of deliberations.
Reports indicate the jury was deadlocked 11-1, with one juror holding out.
Reddington immediately sought to appeal the mistrial ruling to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, but a justice rejected the request, allowing the mistrial to stand.
Lindsay Clancy has admitted to killing her three children—5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan—inside the family's Massachusetts home in January 2023.
Her defense argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible at the time.
Prosecutors have not yet decided whether to retry the case.
