Timex has introduced a new automatic watch in collaboration with Fender, the iconic guitar manufacturer.
The model TW6A14600 is priced at $499 and is now available on the Timex US website.
The release celebrates Fender's 80th anniversary as a company and the 75th anniversary of the Telecaster guitar.
It accompanies two more affordable quartz models, but the automatic version is the highlight.
Design Inspired by the Telecaster
The watch's dial features a wood-grain pattern in butterscotch blonde, a finish associated with early Telecasters.
The second hand is shaped like a Telecaster headstock, and the crown bears the Fender logo.
A two-tone black and gold unidirectional bezel surrounds the dial, a practical feature for tracking elapsed time.
The 41mm brushed stainless steel case is 14mm thick with a 46.5mm lug-to-lug distance, weighing 95.6 grams.
Timex includes a 20mm black leather strap that is oiled and waxed for water resistance and flexibility.
The watch is powered by a Miyota 8215 automatic movement, which winds with wrist motion and includes a date complication.
The caseback features an exhibition window showing the movement, printed with a Telecaster 75th Anniversary logo.
The front uses a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, offering better scratch resistance than mineral glass.
Hands and hour markers are luminescent for low-light visibility. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, suitable for swimming and recreational diving.
A co-branded tortoiseshell guitar pick is included in the box.
Timex has also recently launched other retro-inspired models, such as the Rotary Phone Dial watch and the MK1 Anchor watch.
