Michael Bay recently opened up about a rare conversation he had with Shia LaBeouf, focusing on family and their shared history on the Transformers franchise.
In an interview with TMZ, Bay discussed the actor, who has faced numerous legal issues over the past decade.

This year alone, LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and admitted to drinking daily despite past rehab.
Bay noted they haven't discussed LaBeouf's legal troubles, but they spoke about six months ago.

During that conversation, LaBeouf shared that he took his 4-year-old daughter, Isabel, on the Transformers ride at Universal Studios.
Watching the ride through her eyes brought him to tears, LaBeouf told Bay.
Bay had a heartfelt message for LaBeouf, calling him a great actor and a great guy, and saying he treasures their time working together.
