Taylor Swift has made a generous $50,000 donation to a Connecticut mother's GoFundMe campaign after the woman was struck by a car.
Ashley Taunton, a mother of three, received the surprise contribution along with a personal message from Swift wishing her and her family well.

According to the fundraiser, Taunton had pulled over during a rainstorm to help at an accident scene when another car hydroplaned and hit her.
She has already undergone two surgeries and faces a long recovery ahead.

Swift's donation is expected to significantly ease the financial burden as Taunton heals.
A Pattern of Generosity
This is not the first time Swift has shown her charitable side.

Earlier this year, she and her husband Travis Kelce donated $26 million to 20 different charities ahead of their wedding.
Among the recipients was Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which received $2 million for its literacy program providing free books to children.

Parton, who passed away Tuesday at age 80, had personally thanked the couple for their contribution.
