Oppo has unveiled a new camera technology called ProXDR, designed to enhance high-dynamic-range (HDR) imaging on smartphones.
The announcement came from Oppo's Chief Product Officer and OnePlus founder, Liu Zuohu.

ProXDR integrates real-time HDR processing with high-resolution imaging in a single system.
It is built around DeepPix, a new HDR sensor technology, and upgrades the entire imaging pipeline from light capture to display output.
The system claims a single-frame dynamic range of up to 17EV.

For video, it supports full-size 4K HDR capture with lower power consumption and improved stability during extended use.
Users will not need to enable a dedicated setting or switch to a special shooting mode. HDR processing remains active automatically across different shooting conditions.
Oppo aims for a more natural representation of real-world scenes, especially when frames contain strong contrasts between bright and dark areas.

The wider dynamic range should preserve more detail in highlights and shadows, with natural lighting transitions and accurate color reproduction.
First on Find X10
ProXDR is expected to debut on the Oppo Find X10 series, scheduled for a September launch.
The upcoming lineup is also expected to focus heavily on flagship imaging hardware and processing capabilities.

Liu Zuohu also revealed that Oppo is redesigning its native camera application, building on previous developments while changing how the camera system presents and captures images.
