OnePlus has launched two new flagship smartphones: the Ace 6 Ultra and the Ace 6.

While they share a similar design and many features, the Ultra model brings several key upgrades.

This comparison breaks down the differences to help you decide if the extra cost is justified.

Design and Display

Both phones feature a premium aluminum frame, Crystal Shield Glass protection, and IP68/IP69K water and dust resistance.

The Ace 6 Ultra offers an optional eco-leather finish, while the Ace 6 comes only with a glass back.

The displays are nearly identical: AMOLED panels with 1 billion colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and a 165Hz refresh rate.

The Ace 6 has a slightly larger 6.83-inch screen compared to the 6.78-inch panel on the Ultra.

Image quality is excellent on both, with vibrant colors and smooth animations. The Ultra's eco-leather option adds a premium feel, but the display experience is essentially the same.

Performance and Battery

The Ace 6 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, while the Ace 6 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Both are built on a 3nm process and deliver flagship-level performance.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite has a stronger reputation for gaming, while the Dimensity 9500 focuses on raw power and efficiency.

Battery capacity is a major differentiator. The Ace 6 Ultra packs an 8600mAh battery, 800mAh more than the Ace 6's 7800mAh cell.

Both support 120W wired charging and bypass charging for reduced heat during gaming.

For heavy users, the Ultra's larger battery provides a meaningful advantage.

The Ultra also includes a dedicated G2 Pro Wi-Fi chip, Glacier Cooling System, and 4000Hz Instant Touch Sampling for improved gaming performance.

Camera System

Both phones feature a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

The Ace 6 Ultra uses a larger 1/1.55-inch main sensor for better low-light photography, while the Ace 6 supports 4K 120fps video recording.

The selfie camera is identical on both: a 16MP sensor with 1080p video and gyro-EIS.

Still photography enthusiasts may prefer the Ultra, but videographers might find the Ace 6 more appealing.

Pricing and Verdict

The OnePlus Ace 6 is priced around ₹32,000 ($400), while the Ace 6 Ultra costs around ₹48,500 ($485) — a difference of about ₹16,500.

The Ace 6 offers exceptional value with flagship performance, a premium build, and a large battery.

The Ace 6 Ultra justifies its higher price with a newer chipset, larger battery, optional eco-leather finish, Bluetooth 6.0, and a larger camera sensor.

However, the Ace 6 delivers nearly 90% of the experience at a much lower cost.

Choose the Ace 6 Ultra if you want maximum battery life and the latest hardware.
