Closing arguments have wrapped up in the triple-murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, with the case now in the hands of the jury.
The proceedings were streamed live as the courtroom heard final statements from both sides.

The final pitches from prosecutors and the defense come after more than 20 days of testimony in the closely watched Massachusetts case.
Clancy is accused of strangling her three children—5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan—and then attempting suicide at their home in January 2023.

She has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, with her defense arguing she suffered from postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible.
Prosecutors, however, say Clancy planned the murders and understood her actions were wrong, pointing to evidence she sent her husband Patrick out of the house beforehand.

The trial has centered on Clancy's mental state, with expert witnesses offering sharply different opinions on whether she was psychotic at the time.
If convicted, Clancy faces life in prison without parole. If acquitted by reason of insanity, she would be committed to a state mental health facility.

Now that both sides have finished their closing arguments, the case has been handed to the jury for deliberation.
