Brian Hickerson, Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend, has been spotted in public for the first time since her mother publicly criticized him.
He stepped out of his South Carolina residence to pick up a package, looking visibly upset as he noticed photographers nearby.

Hickerson has been under intense scrutiny since Panettiere's death, with her mother, Lesley Vogel, openly blaming him.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Vogel said she told police she felt Hickerson was 'culpable' in her daughter's death.

She also accused him of financially draining Panettiere after she allegedly hired him as her assistant.

Hickerson has not directly responded to Vogel's accusations, only releasing a brief statement through his attorney after Panettiere's death.
Panettiere was pronounced dead on August 16 after being found unresponsive in a South Carolina Airbnb she shared with Hickerson.

His brother told TMZ that Hickerson administered Narcan in an attempt to save her. The death remains under investigation by local authorities and the DEA.
