Xiaomi has quietly launched a new gas water heater in China that does away with the usual condensate drain pipe.

The Mijia Smart Gas Water Heater Pro Dual Circulation Level 1 Energy Efficiency 16L is now available on Xiaomi's Youpin crowdfunding platform.

It carries a regular price of 3,999 yuan (~$595), but early buyers can get it for 3,499 yuan (~$520) during the launch window.

Condensate-Free Design

Traditional condensing water heaters capture extra heat from exhaust gases, causing water vapor to condense into acidic liquid that requires a dedicated drain.

That often means extra wall drilling and visible piping during installation.

Xiaomi's new model instead runs the condensate through an internal neutralization device and a high-speed centrifuge, atomizing it into a fine mist.

The mist then exits through the flue with the regular exhaust gases, eliminating the need for an extra hole in the wall.

Performance and Features

The heater delivers 16 kg of hot water per minute at a rated heat load of 27.0 kW.

A built-in DC inverter booster pump adds a 10-meter head boost, allowing it to work with water pressure from 0.02 MPa to 0.85 MPa.

Its 7A-level constant temperature bathing function keeps shower temperature steady even when other taps are used or you pause mid-shower.

The unit also includes a purification bottle with strontium-zinc trace element filtration for bath water.

Noise is managed through four reduction methods, and the heater carries CQC certification for operating noise as low as 32 dB(A).

Zero-cold-water technology ensures hot water arrives instantly, and the heater connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 through the Xiaomi Home app.
