Julius Erving is excited about the Philadelphia 76ers' revamped roster, but he's not ready to predict a championship.

The Hall of Famer told TMZ Sports he gives the team's offseason moves a thumbs up, including the acquisition of Jaylen Brown.

"They're gonna be one of the most talented teams," Erving said.

However, he pointed out a potential challenge: the age gap between the youngest and oldest players.

"There's a big age discrepancy between the youngest, which is V. J.

[Edgecombe], and LeBron," he explained.

Erving noted the roster features a 23-year-old and a 42-year-old as bookends, with Joel Embiid in the middle.

He compared building a team to cooking, saying you mix ingredients and see if it turns out good, great, or okay.

The Sixers' lineup includes LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, and V. J.

Edgecombe, plus a solid bench.

Erving plans to attend some games and remain involved as an alumnus.
