Acer has introduced the HD1500, a new portable 1080p smart projector aimed at budget-conscious consumers who want easy access to streaming services without a permanent TV setup.
Priced at €149, the projector will be available in the EMEA region in the third quarter of 2026, where it will also be sold under the name AOpen QP30t.

Design and portability
The HD1500 features an integrated swivel stand that allows 360-degree rotation and up to 180-degree tilt. Users can project onto a wall, corner, or ceiling with ease.
Weighing 1.2 kg (about 2.6 lbs) and measuring roughly 7.8 by 5.7 inches, the device is designed for easy portability between rooms.
Display and brightness
The projector uses an LCD panel and an LED light source to deliver a native 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Acer rates the brightness at 350 ANSI lumens, which means a dark room is recommended for optimal viewing.
The throw ratio of 1.29 produces a 70-inch image when the projector is placed two meters from the wall.
The LED lamp has an estimated lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.
Smart features and connectivity
The HD1500 includes auto-focus and auto keystone correction for easy setup.

An obstacle avoidance feature uses a built-in sensor to detect objects like light switches or picture frames and automatically adjusts the image to avoid them.
For software, the projector runs a built-in smart interface with support for Netflix and YouTube.
Physical ports include one HDMI 1.4, one USB-A 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
