A new Sony smartphone, model number XQ-GH54, has been listed on Geekbench, and Japanese outlet Sumaho Digest has identified it as the Xperia 10 VIII.
The listing confirms earlier leaks that suggested Sony's next mid-range device would carry the Xperia 10 name, not a revived Xperia 5.

According to previous reports, Sony's 2026 Xperia lineup will be split into two naming groups: models starting with 'XQ-GE' and those starting with 'XQ-GH'.
The XQ-GH54 is believed to be the European variant of the Xperia 10 VIII.
On Geekbench 7.0, the phone scored 871 points in single-core and 3,028 points in multi-core tests.

The motherboard is listed under the codename 'parrot', and the CPU field shows 'SM6475', which is the internal codename for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
This means the Xperia 10 VIII will use the same chip as the Xperia 10 VII.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, released in August 2024, is built on a 4nm process and tops out at 2.4GHz.
It is an affordable option for budget-friendly devices rather than a performance flagship.
Reusing the chip helps Sony keep costs down, but it also means users shouldn't expect a big leap in raw power over the outgoing model.
