Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Watch 6 Active (also known as Vitality Edition) in China, priced at 349 yuan (~$52).
The smartwatch features a 1.85-inch square AMOLED display with 390 x 450 resolution and 1,200 nits peak brightness.
It includes a color always-on display (AOD) option for quick time and notification checks.
Weighing just 26 grams and measuring 9.9mm thick, the watch has a flat-edged frame with a single side button.
The screen is protected by 2.5D curved glass, and straps use a quick-release mechanism.
Available colors include silver, pink-orange, and a darker black or gray finish.
Battery and Connectivity
A 470mAh battery powers the device, offering up to 18 days in battery-saver mode, 12 days under normal use, or about six days with AOD and health tracking active.
The watch has a built-in microphone for Bluetooth calls and supports quick text replies.
QR-code offline payments for WeChat Pay and Alipay will arrive via a software update in September.
It tracks over 140 exercises with automatic detection for common workouts, plus heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress monitoring.
The watch is compatible with iOS, syncing data to Apple Health and acting as a remote shutter for iPhone cameras.
Besides China, it is available in the Philippines for PHP 2,599 and on Amazon in the US.
