iQOO is preparing another significant display upgrade for its next flagship smartphone, according to a company executive.
Wang Ken, iQOO Flagship Series Product Manager, emphasized the importance of display brightness in everyday use.

He noted that balancing brightness, power consumption, and endurance is challenging, but the 2K LEAD OLED panels on the iQOO 15 and 15 Ultra achieved a strong balance.
The executive teased that the iQOO 16 will take things further, though specific details remain undisclosed.

Expected Display Specifications
The iQOO 15 features Samsung Display's 2K LEAD OLED technology with M14 material, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits of global peak brightness.
The iQOO 15 Ultra boosts local peak brightness to 8,000 nits while retaining the same display technology.

A recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the iQOO 16 is being tested with a 6.85-inch 2K display with a 165Hz refresh rate, reportedly supplied by Samsung Display.
The iQOO Neo 12 is also expected to feature a 2K panel, possibly a 6.83-inch Visionox display with a 165Hz or 185Hz refresh rate.

The iQOO 16 is expected to launch in China alongside the Neo 12 by late September or early October, with more display details likely to emerge soon.
