Display and Build

The Moto G Max features a 6.72-inch 120Hz IPS LCD with 1050 nits brightness, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro offers a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED with Dolby Vision and up to 3500 nits peak brightness.

Redmi's AMOLED panel provides deeper blacks and better HDR support, making it more immersive for media consumption.

In terms of protection, the Moto G Max has Gorilla Glass 7i, IP64, and MIL-STD-810H, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro steps up with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, IP68/IP69K, and drop resistance up to 2.5 meters.

Performance and Battery

Both phones use the same Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, but the Redmi offers up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, while the Moto G Max maxes out at 6GB RAM and 256GB with microSD support.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro packs a larger 8340mAh battery with 67W charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, compared to the Moto G Max's 7000mAh battery with 30W charging.

This gives the Redmi an edge in endurance and faster top-ups, though the Moto G Max still offers solid battery life.

Camera Capabilities

The Moto G Max has a 50MP main camera with an 8MP ultrawide, but lacks OIS and records up to 1440p video.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro also has a 50MP main camera with OIS and gyro-EIS, plus 4K video recording, making it more reliable for handheld shots.

Pricing and Value

The Moto G Max is priced around $290 (₹23,000), while the Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to cost around $500 (₹46,000).

The Redmi justifies its higher price with a better display, larger battery, faster charging, superior protection, OIS, and more RAM/storage.

However, for budget-conscious buyers, the Moto G Max offers comparable core performance at a significantly lower price, making it a strong value pick.
