Edifier has introduced the Hecate Hunter S, a new pair of wired in-ear earphones now available on JD.

The earbuds are priced at 221 yuan ($32), with an initial launch price of 199 yuan ($29).
Audio and gaming features
Inside, the Hunter S uses 10mm dual-chamber dynamic drivers with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) dome and titanium plating.
This combination is said to enhance bass and treble response, with a frequency range of 20Hz to 40kHz and 97dB sensitivity.

Instead of relying on the source device, the Hunter S integrates a DSP and DAC chip into the cable, supporting up to 384kHz/32-bit audio and Hi-Res certification.
For gaming, it offers THX-customized spatial audio with a 7.1.4-channel configuration, including vertical sound positioning to help detect audio cues like footsteps or reloads.
The companion Hecate software provides preset EQ profiles for games like Valorant, Counter-Strike, and Delta Force, or manual adjustments.

Design and compatibility
The earphones feature an over-ear cable routing design and inverted-triangle housing for a secure fit, offering up to 30dB of passive noise isolation.
The included cable is a 2-meter braided oxygen-free copper wire with USB-C connectivity, compatible with Android phones, iPads, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5.
An inline remote with a silicon microphone supports 48kHz/24-bit voice sampling and controls for volume, media playback, and calls.

The cable is rated for up to 8kg of pulling force, while buttons and USB connector are rated for 10,000 clicks and 5,000 insertions, respectively.
