In statements to Nandu Bay Finance via ITHome, both companies said no joint R&D agreement has been reached and there are no plans for a co-launch.

The denial comes as the handheld gimbal camera market experiences rapid growth.
Global shipments of handheld smart cameras exceeded 16 million units in 2025, an 80% year-on-year increase.
DJI's Osmo Pocket 3 alone has sold over 10 million units since its launch in October 2023, generating nearly 20 billion yuan in revenue.

This potential has attracted new players.
Inspiron released its Luna Ultra in June, while DJI introduced the Osmo Pocket 4P around the same time.
Both Oppo and Vivo are working on their own projects independently.

Separate reports suggest Oppo has also initiated its own gimbal camera project, with a possible launch in Q4 2026.
Honor is exploring similar devices through an ODM route.
