Design and Build: A Head-Turner with Heft
The phone weighs 225 grams, only slightly lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro's 240 grams. It feels solid and substantial in hand.
The body is 8.8mm thick, which isn't slim, but considering the huge battery inside, TECNO's engineers did a commendable job.
The retail box includes a transparent silicone case, a 45W charger, a USB cable, and a SIM ejector tool.
In an era where chargers are often sold separately, this is a welcome touch.
The clear case lets you see the back design, which is where the phone gets flashy.
The standout feature is the Alive Matrix dot-matrix screen embedded in the rear camera module.
It's a tiny LED panel that lights up with custom patterns for calls, charging, and notifications. You can even DIY your own patterns and text.
This design invites comparisons with Nothing Phone's Glyph interface, but the dot-matrix approach feels more retro-digital, like an old-school electronic watch.
The phone also carries an IP64 water-resistance rating and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, offering extra peace of mind.

Display: Smooth and Practical
Up front, there's a 6.76-inch IPS LCD with 1080×2344 resolution. The headline spec is the 144Hz refresh rate, which makes swiping and scrolling feel fluid.
The system dynamically drops the refresh rate to around 90Hz in certain scenarios to save power.
Color performance is typical for IPS LCD – blacks aren't as deep as AMOLED, and contrast is more modest.
However, wet-touch support is a genuinely useful feature, allowing accurate response even with damp fingers.
One downside: there's no 3.5mm headphone jack.
