Lyle Landers, the ex-husband of influencer Sara Gilson, is taking legal action to prevent the beneficiaries of her husband, Jeremiah Duffey, from receiving any part of her estate.
Gilson and Duffey died in a murder-suicide in Oklahoma.
Duffey allegedly shot Gilson on July 23, less than two weeks after she accused him of being a pedophile in a TikTok video.
No Will Found
In a July 29 court filing, Landers stated that Gilson had no will at the time of her death.
He made every effort to locate a probate will but found none.
Landers is now requesting that the court block any beneficiaries of Duffey's estate from getting money Gilson earned as a lifestyle and fashion influencer on TikTok.
He argues that Duffey "intentionally and feloniously" took Gilson's life, so his beneficiaries "should be barred from inheriting" from her.
Landers also cited Oklahoma law, which states that no person convicted of murder or manslaughter shall inherit from the victim or receive any interest in the victim's estate.
Additionally, Landers mentioned that Gilson left personal property in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which he intends to preserve and protect for their children.
