Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Mini Dual-Zone Washing and Drying Machine 1kg in China.
The compact appliance is tailored for small garments like underwear, socks, baby clothes, and towels.

The product is now available for pre-order at a starting price of 1499 yuan (approximately $220). Official sales are scheduled to begin on May 30.
Dual-Drum Design for Separate Cleaning
The machine features a dual-drum setup that enables users to wash and dry different clothing types independently.
It offers dual 0.5kg washing zones and dual 0.2kg drying zones.
This design helps prevent cross-contamination between items, addressing hygiene concerns for intimate apparel.
A dual-tube system with separate water inlet and outlet pipes further reduces the risk of cross-infection.
Xiaomi claims the washer achieves a protein stain removal ratio of 1.95 and a blood stain removal ratio of 1.85.

It also supports a 95-degree Celsius high-temperature boiling wash for enhanced sanitation.
The machine includes a high-temperature drum self-cleaning function.
A combination of hot water flow and steam refreshes and sterilizes the drum interior in about 15 minutes.
Intelligent Drying and Smart Features
For drying, the Mijia Mini uses intelligent low-temperature drying technology. The system monitors temperature in real time and automatically stops once clothes are dry.
The washer offers 23 washing and care programs.

Six programs are accessible directly from the control panel, while 17 additional programs are available through the Mi Home app.
Users can customize settings such as water level and temperature via the app.
The machine supports Xiaomi's HyperOS Smart Connect platform and can be controlled with Xiao Ai voice commands.
Other features include OTA updates, antibacterial fresh air hosting, quiet operation, and a compact footprint of less than 0.2 square meters.
The 1kg capacity can handle up to 14 pairs of socks, 15 pieces of women's underwear, or seven pieces of men's underwear per cycle, depending on size and weight.
The machine targets hygiene-focused users who are concerned about washing intimate apparel alongside regular clothes.
