A mass shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, left at least three people dead and seven others injured, according to authorities.
The gunman opened fire at the restaurant Saturday afternoon, prompting a rapid police response.

Twin Falls spokesperson Josh Palmer said officers received an active shooter call and arrived quickly, but the shooter had already left the restaurant and fled the area.
A motorist captured video of the suspect walking to a white car while carrying a long gun.

The suspect opened the driver-side door, popped the trunk, and reached inside. Fearing he might grab another firearm, the motorist drove away.
Police briefly searched for the gunman and found him dead nearby. It remains unclear how he died or if he was included in the initial death toll.

Palmer confirmed at least three deaths and seven injuries, but said the numbers could rise.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and collecting surveillance video from nearby shops. They are also working to identify the suspect and determine a motive.

Palmer stated there were no other shooters and the threat to the public is over.
