The murder trial for Lindsay Clancy enters its second day, with her ex-husband expected to continue testifying.

Clancy is accused of strangling her three children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan—with elastic workout bands at their Duxbury, Massachusetts home.

She then attempted suicide.

Opening statements took place Monday. Patrick Clancy took the stand and defended his ex-wife.

Patrick testified that Lindsay fell into a shame spiral after the birth of their third child.

She threatened suicide and harm to the children while on multiple prescribed medications from at least three different providers.

She also spent several days in psychiatric hospitals in late 2022 and early 2023 due to persistent suicidal thoughts, Patrick said.

Lindsay's lawyers are expected to argue insanity, claiming she was experiencing postpartum psychosis when she allegedly killed her children.
