Vivo has officially teased the upcoming S2 smartphone in India, marking the return of its S series after a long hiatus.

The company released the first promotional material, hinting at a premium design and solid performance.

The exact launch date has not been confirmed by Vivo, but recent reports suggest an August 6 unveiling.

A dedicated Amazon microsite now reveals the design, which takes cues from the Vivo X300 FE but lacks ZEISS branding and features a dual rear camera instead of a triple setup.

Key Highlights from the Teaser

Vivo is emphasizing four main aspects: a flagship-inspired design, strong performance, capable photo and video capabilities, and an immersive audio-visual experience.

The clean rear design with a horizontal dual-camera module and curved surfaces aims to give the S2 a premium look.

According to rumors, the Vivo S2 could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

Other speculated features include a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display, a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 50MP primary camera with an 8MP ultrawide lens.

However, some reports have also mentioned the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 50MP periscope telephoto, so specifications are not yet confirmed.

The revival of the S series suggests Vivo aims to diversify its portfolio in India's competitive smartphone market.

As official details emerge ahead of the expected early August launch, key factors to watch include the confirmed chipset, pricing, and camera performance.

For now, the teaser effectively builds anticipation for the S2.
