A Secret Service agent has been placed on administrative leave for allegedly leaking information about Vice President JD Vance's travel plans to reporters, according to CNN.
The unidentified agent is under investigation by federal authorities for passing details to MS Now correspondents, which were used in a July 15 story.
The MS Now report detailed Vance's travel schedule, including a planned Marine Corps helicopter flight to take his son to a golf lesson, which was later canceled.
The leak angered top officials at the Secret Service, FBI, and the White House, who were upset that operational information was made public.
The Secret Service has not yet responded to requests for comment.
