A Missouri man attempted a dramatic escape from police by jumping off a bridge into a lake — and the entire incident was captured on dashcam video.
Gavin Thor Lundgren, 26, of Kimberling City, was arrested Saturday after allegedly refusing to comply with a routine traffic stop, according to authorities.

Police say Lundgren led officers on a pursuit that ended when he stopped his car on a two-lane bridge, got out, and dove into Table Rock Lake.
Dashcam footage shows the suspect performing a swan dive off the bridge.

While his form might have earned a high score in Olympic competition, it only bought him a few extra minutes of freedom.

Officers apprehended Lundgren shortly after he entered the water.
He was booked into jail on charges including resisting arrest by fleeing, careless driving, third-degree assault, and interfering with an arrest, according to NBC News.

Local outlet KYTV reported that Lundgren allegedly headbutted two police officers during the incident.
