The self-described best friend of Nolan Wells says the teen seemed "completely fine" while they were together on Horn Island, with nothing unusual.

Warren Hudson shared his account on the "Officer Tatum Show" with YouTuber Brandon Tatum.

He described hanging out with friends from high school and college, including Nolan, on the Mississippi island on the Fourth of July.

According to Warren, most in the group were regular visitors. In his conversations with Nolan, he said Nolan was laughing, joking, and having a good time.

Warren noted he wasn't solely focused on Nolan, as there were hundreds of other people he was chatting with.

Video from the gathering appears to show Nolan on the back of a boat.

Nolan disappeared after his friends left the island by boat. His body was found two days later on July 6 off the shoreline.

No witnesses have publicly reported seeing him after 4:30 PM on July 4.

Warren and Nolan's other friends have faced intense online scrutiny, with theories and accusations spreading on social media.

The family's attorney, Ben Crump, says Nolan may have suffered an injury to the back of his head, according to preliminary findings of an independent autopsy commissioned by the family.

The preliminary report says the cause and manner of death are undetermined pending investigation.

Nolan's parents laid him to rest Monday at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, in a service officiated by Rev.
