Chadwick Boseman's brothers, Kevin and Derrick Boseman, have petitioned a Los Angeles court to remove his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, as administrator of his estate, nearly six years after his death.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, the brothers allege Taylor has mismanaged the estate and kept the family uninformed about its status, despite a 2022 court order granting their parents a combined 50% share.

The court order gave Taylor control of the other half after Chadwick died without a will.

However, the brothers claim she has not finished distributing assets and continues to control everything on her own.

Chadwick's estate includes movie residuals, royalties, image and intellectual property rights, investments, insurance policies, bank accounts, and personal belongings.

The brothers say the family has no knowledge of these assets, including over $3 million in various bank accounts.

According to the filing, Taylor still needs to transfer a long-term care insurance policy to their mother, close and distribute funds from Chadwick's bank accounts, account for posthumous SAG-AFTRA residual payments, and collect unclaimed property.

The brothers argue this has left Chadwick's parents without funds and insurance they are entitled to, prevented them from pursuing business opportunities involving his legacy, caused emotional distress, and allowed Taylor to profit solely from Chadwick's name and image.

They claim they have made numerous pleas to Taylor to resolve these issues, but she has not complied.

Legal Action Requested

Kevin and Derrick are asking the court to hold Taylor in contempt for failing to follow the 2022 order, force her to distribute remaining assets and provide a complete accounting within 30 days, and permanently remove her as administrator, appointing attorney Jason Rubin instead.

They also request the court bar Taylor from signing major contracts involving the estate without family approval, require her to hand over all related contracts, and pay the family's attorney's fees and legal costs.
