Ed Harris is speaking out about his frustration with the Taylor Sheridan series "Dutton Ranch," saying he was so angry with how his character was treated that he considered quitting mid-season.
The actor, who plays veterinarian Everett McKinney on the "Yellowstone" spinoff, shared his grievances with Variety at the premiere of Apple TV's "The Dink."

Harris pointed to a specific scene that made his blood boil.
In it, his character chats with Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) at a bar before Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) tells Everett it's his turn to sing.

When Everett walks to the mic, the director cut the scene and the song entirely.
"I'm going, 'f*** you, people,'" Harris recalled telling producers.
Production explained the scene was too "up" for the episode's dark ending, which Harris called "enough reason to say I'm voiding my contract."

Before signing on, Harris said he was told his character would be one of four main roles in Season 1, but that didn't happen.
He told producers he felt "underused and inconsequential," but they shrugged off his concerns.

Harris has been told his character will get more attention in Season 2, but he remains "just a little frustrated" by the experience.
