Hisense has released more details about its upcoming A10 e-ink smartphone, building on the initial teaser from June.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm QCM6690, a 4nm octa-core enterprise-grade processor. It supports PDF page turning, split-screen multitasking, and smooth handwriting annotation.

The chip also includes a smart temperature control system that reduces ghosting, a common e-ink issue.

When idle during reading, the processor lowers its frequency to extend battery life.

The A10 runs Android 16 out of the box and will receive long-term system updates and security patches.

Hisense equipped the phone with six practical features: NFC, an infrared remote that can control air conditioners, TVs, projectors, and set-top boxes without internet, native app cloning, built-in call recording, magnetic wireless charging, and a dedicated fast refresh mode to minimize lag and ghosting.

The design includes a 6.13-inch paper-like e-ink display on the front for reading and note-taking, with an optional LCD color screen on the back.

Users can switch between the two screens, using the color display for photos, comics, charts, and social apps.

The A10 is Hisense's first major e-ink phone update since the A9 returned to shelves last year with a refreshed spec sheet.
