Asus is making a comeback in the Indian tablet segment after a long hiatus.
The company has announced that the Asus Pad will launch in India on August 6.

The tablet was already unveiled globally last month, and its full specifications are known. Pricing details remain undisclosed for now.
Display and Performance
The Asus Pad sports a 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio.
Peak brightness reaches 2,000 nits.
The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is certified for low flicker and reduced blue light.

It offers a 92% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor. It comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and runs Android 16 out of the box.
Storage options include 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 variants, expandable via microSD card up to 1TB.
Battery, Audio, and Accessories
A 9,000mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, reaching 50% in about 30 minutes. The device features a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos 360-degree sound.
The Asus Pad supports the Asus Pen 2.0 and compatible Bluetooth keyboards for note-taking, sketching, and productivity.

It includes a protective folio case that doubles as a stand with four viewing modes.
Camera, Connectivity, and Design
For imaging, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with Face Unlock. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, but no SIM support.
The tablet has a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 and uses GlideX for cross-platform file sharing.
It measures 271.1 x 182.4 x 6.5mm and weighs 523g.

The Asus Pad will be available in Pure White. It will be sold through Flipkart, with pricing to be announced at launch.
