Huawei has introduced the 2026 MatePad Air for international markets, upgrading its lightweight productivity tablet with a larger display and enhanced battery life.
Display and Performance
The tablet features a 12-inch OLED PaperMatte screen with a 2800 x 1840 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Peak brightness reaches 1,200 nits, and the display supports 1.07 billion colors with P3 wide color gamut coverage.
The PaperMatte coating reduces glare and reflections for comfortable viewing. The device is powered by the Kirin T93C processor and runs HarmonyOS 4.3.
Memory options include 8GB or 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. A 3D cooling system with a vapor chamber and graphite helps maintain performance during heavy use.
Camera and Audio
The rear camera is a 50MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, and LED flash, capable of 1080p video recording.

Pricing and Availability
Pre-orders are open in Europe, with shipments starting August 1. The non-PaperMatte model with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and an included keyboard costs €849.
The PaperMatte Edition with the same memory is priced at €899 and comes with a keyboard or M-Pencil Pro stylus.
The top-tier 12GB RAM version costs €999 and includes the keyboard.
