Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents fatally shot a person in Biddeford, Maine, on Monday morning.

The incident marks the second deadly shooting involving ICE agents in less than one week.

Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau confirmed the event in a Facebook statement. He said a person was killed and that ICE was involved.

State Police and the Department of Public Safety are gathering details, and Fecteau expects the FBI to investigate as well.

Video from the scene shows agents rendering first aid to the individual, who was lying on the street.

The shooting occurred in Biddeford, a coastal town of about 21,000 residents, roughly 15 miles south of Portland.

This shooting follows the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Texas, last Tuesday. Araujo, a Mexican citizen, had lived in the U.

S. for over three decades and owned a construction business.

That incident happened during an enforcement traffic stop.
