Zahara Jolie, the 21-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has taken another legal step to remove her father's surname.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Zahara published a notice of her name change petition in the Los Angeles Daily Journal for four consecutive weeks, fulfilling a California requirement.

The notice ran on June 16, June 23, June 30, and July 7.

Her final hearing is scheduled for September 28, where a judge can approve the request if no objections are filed.

Zahara filed her petition in June, seeking to change her legal name from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie.

A source close to Brad Pitt told TMZ they believe Angelina has caused the rift between Brad and the children, calling it a "sad and never-ending campaign to alienate children from their father."

Zahara has not been using Pitt publicly for some time.

Her move follows sister Shiloh, who officially dropped Pitt from her name in 2024 after publishing a similar notice.

Other siblings have also distanced themselves from the family name. Maddox and Vivienne have stopped publicly using Pitt in recent years.

If the judge approves, Zahara will officially become Zahara Marley Jolie.
