Mangmi has officially entered the vertical handheld gaming market with the launch of its Air Y series.
The new lineup follows the company's earlier horizontal devices, the Air X and Pocket Max, released in 2025.

The Air Y series includes two models: the standard Air Y and the dual-stick Air Y Pro.
Both run on Android and are powered by Qualcomm processors, though the exact chip models have not been disclosed.
The standard Air Y features a black finish with a single RGB-backlit joystick positioned below a cross D-pad.
It also includes Nintendo-layout ABXY buttons and a front-facing speaker grille.

The Air Y Pro comes in a white and burgundy color scheme.
It replaces the front speaker grille with dual symmetrical RGB joysticks, making it better suited for complex Android games and modern emulation that require twin-stick controls.
Both models share a left-side control cluster that includes an orange power button, a scroll wheel, and an unassigned secondary button.

The displays have minimal bezels, but exact panel dimensions have not been confirmed.
Mangmi has not yet revealed key hardware specifications such as display resolution, refresh rate, RAM, storage capacity, or battery size.
It is also unclear whether the Pro model will feature a higher-tier Qualcomm chip than the standard version.
The company is expected to announce full specifications, pricing, and a launch schedule later this month.

Pre-orders for both the Air Y and Air Y Pro are scheduled to open on July 30.
