Taylor Swift's wedding day was marked by both joy and sorrow.
Her favorite teacher, Kirk Schwabe, reportedly passed away on July 3, the same day she married Travis Kelce.

According to The Telegraph, Schwabe died after a battle with cancer. He was 69.
Schwabe taught criminal justice to Swift at Hendersonville High School in Nashville from 2004 to 2006. Before becoming a teacher, he served as a police officer in Chicago.

He earned the trust of Swift and her family. In 2009, as Swift's music career took off, they asked him to be her personal security guard.
Schwabe left teaching and worked long hours for the 14-time Grammy winner.

In a recent interview, Schwabe said he quit the security job because he was burned out, but he still loved Swift and called her a "superstar."
Although he could not attend the wedding, Schwabe believed Swift made the right choice in marrying Kelce, praising her judgment.
