The Redmi 17 5G has appeared on two certification platforms, signaling that its global launch is approaching. The listings confirm the device's identity and disclose several hardware details.

First spotted by XpertPick, the phone was certified by Malaysia's SIRIM and Taiwan's NCC authorities.

The SIRIM listing confirms the marketing name and model number 26062RN92G, indicating that Redmi is skipping the Redmi 16 branding and moving directly from the Redmi 15 series to the Redmi 17 lineup.

Memory and Battery Details

According to the NCC database, the Redmi 17 5G will be available in four memory configurations: 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, 4GB+256GB, and 8GB+256GB.

The certification also lists the battery model BM7H and bundled charger model MDY-17-EN.

Cross-referencing with earlier TÜV certification suggests the device packs a 7,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.

This would be an upgrade over the Redmi 15 5G, which featured a 7,000mAh battery and 33W charging.

The NCC listing also confirms connectivity features including 5G, 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Redmi has not yet announced an official launch date, but these certifications suggest the Redmi 17 5G could debut globally in the near future.
