Instead of a redesign, OPPO focused on core hardware improvements. Here are the biggest differences between the two.

Display and Design

Both phones feature a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with 1216×2640 resolution, HDR10+, up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, and Crystal Guard protection.

The key difference is the refresh rate: the Reno 16 offers 120Hz, while the Pro model boosts it to 144Hz for smoother scrolling and gaming.

The design is nearly identical, with a glass front, aluminum frame, IP68/IP69 ratings, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Performance and Battery

The Reno 16 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the Reno 16 Pro upgrades to the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super with a more powerful GPU.

The Pro model also comes with 12GB RAM as standard, compared to 8GB or 12GB options on the standard version.

Both pack a 6,700mAh battery (6,000mAh in Europe) and support 80W wired charging with 55W PPS.

The Pro adds UFCS support for slightly faster charging.

Camera System

The Reno 16 features a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, 50MP telephoto (3.5x optical zoom), and 50MP ultrawide.

The Reno 16 Pro upgrades the main camera to 200MP with OIS, while keeping the same telephoto and ultrawide lenses.

Video recording is enhanced on the Pro with 1080p at 480fps and 720p at 960fps slow-motion, versus 1080p at 120fps on the standard model.

The selfie camera remains identical: 50MP with autofocus and 4K 60fps video.

Pricing and Verdict

The OPPO Reno 16 is priced around $600 (₹62,000), while the Reno 16 Pro costs about $830 (₹71,000).

The $230 premium gets you a faster processor, higher-resolution main camera, 144Hz display, more RAM, and advanced slow-motion video.
