Lil Wayne did not show up for his concert in Bangor, Maine, on Wednesday night, leaving fans frustrated and without an explanation.

The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was scheduled to perform at the Bangor waterfront with special guest 2 Chainz.

He was expected to take the stage at 10:45 PM, but shortly after that time, the audience was informed he would not be performing, according to a local report.

No reason was given for the no-show. Fans took to social media to express their anger, calling the rapper rude and disrespectful.

Many noted that this was not the first time he had canceled a performance at the last minute.

In August 2025, Lil Wayne canceled a Toronto concert after fans had already entered the venue.

In 2024, he dropped out of a California music festival at the last minute.

In 2023, he walked off a stage in Los Angeles just minutes into a show.

Lil Wayne is scheduled to perform Thursday night at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in New York.

It remains to be seen whether that show will go ahead as planned.
