Harvey Weinstein suffered a major health scare in jail, experiencing heart failure due to pneumonia, according to sources with direct knowledge.

The disgraced Hollywood producer was at Rikers Island in New York City about two weeks ago when the incident occurred.

Weinstein was being held at the Queens jail complex awaiting sentencing in September for a 2025 sexual assault conviction.

Sources say Weinstein had difficulty breathing, prompting authorities to rush him to Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward in Manhattan.

He has been receiving treatment at Bellevue ever since, with doctors placing him on an IV, a heart monitor, and antibiotics for pneumonia.

Weinstein is reportedly feeling better but is not yet out of the woods.

Weinstein became a central figure in the #MeToo movement after his 2020 conviction for rape and criminal sexual act, receiving a 23-year sentence.

In 2022, he was convicted in Los Angeles for rape and sexual assault and sentenced to 16 years.
