Two sisters in Texas were all smiles after being arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman to death in broad daylight on a busy street.

Police in Del Rio arrested 21-year-old Kitty Mia Diaz and her 19-year-old sister, Amaya Cookie, along with their friend, 21-year-old Kyandra Renee Faz, on Thursday.

They are accused of killing 32-year-old Caroline “Caro” Peña, a mother of five.

Video of the arrests shows the sisters smiling as they were taken into custody. They also smiled in their mug shots.

According to police, officers initially responded to a local hospital after a woman was brought in with stab wounds.

The victim was later transferred to a trauma center in San Antonio, where she died.

Police then went to the crime scene, collected surveillance video, and interviewed witnesses. That led them to identify the three suspects.

The suspects were booked into jail on murder charges. Authorities have not released a motive.
