Nubia has unveiled the Neo 5 Max at MWC Shanghai 2026, a phablet-style smartphone designed for gaming and media consumption.
The device features a 7.5-inch 1.5K LCD display, one of the largest screens on a modern smartphone.

It supports a portable grip accessory for handheld gaming.
Under the hood, the Neo 5 Max is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with a 7000mAh battery.
It runs Android 16 out of the box.

Gaming-focused features include built-in capacitive touch shoulder triggers, continuing Nubia's tradition of gamer-friendly hardware.
The phone sports a dark green back with a soccer ball pattern, giving it a sporty aesthetic.
Nubia showcased the Neo 5 Max alongside other products like the Beanbag phone concept, Red Magic gaming phones, and a gaming tablet.

The Neo 5 lineup, including the Neo 5 GT with an active cooling fan, targets younger gamers and Gen Z users seeking affordable gaming devices with physical triggers and gaming software.
Interestingly, the Neo 5 Max will not be sold in China. It is aimed at overseas buyers looking for a large-screen phone at an affordable price.

However, previous Neo 5 models have been competitively priced; for instance, the higher-end Neo 5 GT (Dimensity 7400) launched earlier this year at around €399.
