A woman hiking in Canada with her dog faced a terrifying grizzly bear encounter, captured on video.
The bear, estimated at 400 pounds, charged at the hiker and her dog, coming within a couple of feet.

For several minutes, the grizzly chased, circled, and stalked the pair.

The woman frantically shouted to scare the animal away, but her shouts only made the bear stand on its hind legs to display its size.
Despite the close calls, the woman and her dog managed to fend off the bear until it eventually left them alone.

A friend of the woman posted the video on Instagram, warning hikers to carry bear spray in bear country.
