Senators have a clear message: you can't call yourself a capitalist if you go after Elon Musk just because he's a trillionaire.

Senators Cynthia Lummis and Thom Tillis both agreed in a recent interview that there should be no dollar limit on capitalism, even when someone's wealth surpasses the GDP of many countries.

When pressed on whether Musk's fortune is too much for one person, Lummis stood firm, arguing that Musk should not be penalized for his achievements.

Tillis framed the issue in stark terms: supporting Musk makes you a capitalist, while opposing him makes you a socialist or communist.

The senators declined to engage with hypotheticals about Musk becoming a quintillionaire, ending the discussion abruptly.
