Kacey Musgraves encountered an unexpected blaze during her concert at TD Garden in Boston on Friday night.
The incident occurred after she performed "Golden Hour," when sparks erupted above the stage and a small fire developed in the rafters.
Musgraves stopped the show and looked toward the ceiling, telling the crowd, "That looks bad. Genuinely, something's on fire."
She joked that she had "way too much hairspray" to stand under the flames and called the fire "cute" while admitting it gave her anxiety.
The singer also quipped, "I only like pyro when I know what's going to happen," and asked if anyone had a "bedazzled fire extinguisher."
Despite the scare, the moment became another memorable highlight of her "Middle of Nowhere" tour.
The tour, which began in Chicago earlier this month, features an eye-catching stage production, including Musgraves performing atop enormous floating disco balls.
On Friday, she also performed a tribute to Dolly Parton with "Here You Come Again" to honor the late icon.
The tour had previously faced delays, with three scheduled dates canceled, including the originally planned opening night, before kicking off on Kacey's birthday.
