LG has unveiled a 32-inch electronic paper display aimed at the commercial signage market.
The device recently won a 2026 Red Dot Design Award and uses color E Ink technology with a business-oriented version of webOS.
Key Specifications and Features
The display offers a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Unlike LCD or OLED panels, it uses electronic ink and has no backlight, relying on ambient light for visibility.
Power efficiency is a standout feature: the screen consumes electricity only when the image refreshes.
When displaying static content such as menus or promotions, it uses virtually no power. LG incorporates a custom image algorithm for natural color reproduction.
The device weighs 3.1 kg (about 6.8 pounds) and measures 17.8 mm thick, tapering to 8.6 mm at its thinnest edge.
It includes a 72Wh battery and a low-power system-on-chip. The battery takes roughly three hours to charge from empty when the device is off.
A detachable magnetic battery pack is available, simplifying installation in retail spaces without permanent power cables.
Software and Management
The display runs a business-focused version of webOS with built-in Wi-Fi.
Businesses can manage multiple units remotely via LG's SuperSign CMS software, allowing centralized content updates, batch scheduling, and battery monitoring.
Alternatively, images can be loaded manually via a USB drive.
Pricing and Availability
LG plans to launch the 32-inch E Ink display in South Korea in early June, followed by the United States and Europe in July.
Official pricing has not been announced.
