Acer has named Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador in India, aligning with the company's 50th global anniversary and 27 years in the Indian market.
The announcement was made at the House of Acer event held at JW Marriott Mumbai, Juhu.
Expanding beyond PCs
The partnership comes as Acer broadens its portfolio beyond personal computers to include Acerpure home appliances such as televisions, air conditioners, washing machines, and other home solutions.
The company aims to position this ecosystem around making everyday technology smarter, easier, and healthier.
Akshay Kumar, known for his busy lifestyle involving films, travel, fitness, and family, said technology should simplify daily tasks rather than complicate life.
He also highlighted how Acer has evolved alongside changing consumer habits.
Acer India President and Managing Director Harish Kohli said the partnership reflects qualities such as performance, discipline, reliability, and continuous evolution.
With Akshay Kumar representing the company, Acer aims to connect its established technology business with its growing range of home-focused products.
